1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website hardbacon.ca, our mobile application, or any of our financial comparison tools (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. The Services are owned and operated by Plutera Capital Inc. (“Hardbacon”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

You represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you must immediately cease using the Services.

2. No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice

Hardbacon is an information and comparison platform and does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

  • For Information Purposes Only: All content, calculators, articles, and comparison results provided through our Services are for educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
  • No Fiduciary Relationship: Your use of our Services does not create a fiduciary or advisor-client relationship.

3. Accuracy of Data and Third-Party Quotes

Hardbacon aggregates data from various financial institutions, insurance providers, and brokers (“Partners”).

  • Estimates Only: Any rates, premiums, or quotes displayed are estimates based on the information you provide. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you submit is accurate and complete.
  • Provider Terms Prevail: The final price, coverage, and terms of any financial product are determined solely by the Partner providing the product. In the event of a discrepancy between a rate shown on Hardbacon and the rate offered by a Partner, the Partner’s rate shall govern.
  • Third-Party Content: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided by our Partners. You acknowledge that you rely on such information at your own risk.
  • No Endorsement: References to financial institutions or products do not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by Hardbacon.

4. Compensation and Referral Disclosure

Hardbacon provides its comparison tools to users for free. To maintain this service, we may receive compensation (referral fees or commissions) from the financial institutions or Partners listed on our site when a user clicks a link, applies for, or obtains a product. While we strive for objectivity, this compensation may influence which products are displayed, their placement, or how they are ranked. This means that some products may be more prominently displayed than others based on our commercial relationships.

5. Prohibited Use and Anti-Scraping

You agree to use the Services only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless expressly authorized by Hardbacon in writing. You are strictly prohibited from:

  • Automated Access: Using any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access, monitor, or copy any content or data from our Services for any purpose (including price monitoring or data aggregation).
  • Fraudulent Information: Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information when using our comparison tools or requesting quotes.
  • Interference: Attempting to circumvent security measures or interfere with the proper working of the site.
