How do I register?

When you shop with Rakuten, you’ll earn points and up to a 20% discount. This latter offer depends, however, on the qualifying offers that are available.

How to maximize points?

How to redeem points?

Good news for you! Unlike many loyalty programs, Scene+ points maintain a considerably constant redemption value. And that’s true no matter how you choose to redeem them.

When it comes to entertainment, you can redeem 100 points for $1 off a movie ticket, or $1 off a rental or movie purchase at the Cineplex Store. For food and beverages, 500 points get you $5 off.

As for the Rec Room and Playdium locations, when you redeem 500 points, you receive a $5 discount on food, music, movie tickets, chips, snacks and activities at Playdium. Not a bad deal at all!

As for food and beverage, as a member, you can exchange 500 points for a $5 discount. This discount applies to food and, in some provinces, to alcoholic beverages. At grocery stores, you can redeem 1,000 points for a $10 deduction from your balance. At Home Hardware, redeem 1,000 Scene+ points for $10 off your purchase.

Moreover, when you access the Scene+ Apple or Best Buy store, the program lets you redeem your points for products found there. In fact, you can redeem your points for gift cards from over 60 brands and retailers.

Finally, you can redeem points for a credit on your Scotiabank account. By redeeming your points, you’ll receive cash on your eligible debit or credit card. Use Scene+ points to travel

The Scene+ program allows you to redeem 100 points per dollar spent when you book with Scene+ Travel. Book your trip using Scene+ Travel by Expedia to redeem your points directly. You can also redeem points for travel. If you don’t have enough points, you can use them to pay for part of your trip.

What’s more, by booking your trip this way, you earn 3 points for every dollar spent on hotel nights and car rentals. You then exchange your points in 100-point increments for $1 on your next getaway.

Expiration of the points

In the event that your account remains inactive for up to 24 consecutive months, your Scene+ account will be cancelled. However, an exception applies when you have a Scotiabank card.
