Metro made changes to its rewards program. As of May 2023, Metro & moi has become the Moi rewards program. It's not just the name that's changing, as several new participating stores are joining the program. We were already counting on Metro grocery stores. Now Jean Coutu, Super C, Brunet and Première Moisson get in the game for a total of 900 locations where you can collect and redeem points!

The new Moi rewards program

Metro's rewards program has been redesigned to better meet customer needs, strengthen customer relationships and enhance their in-store shopping experience. The program offers exclusive benefits and rewards. Competition with other rewards programs, such as Scene Plus, will be fierce!

The good news is that Metro teamed up with the Royal Bank of Canada to offer a credit card that will let you earn points much faster! It's called the Moi RBC Visa card. It will be available later in 2023, but we already know that there will be no annual fee.

How do I sign up for the new Moi program?

If you're currently a member of the Metro & moi program, you automatically benefit from the new Moi program and you can continue to use your old card. The good news is that you won't have to wait for your rebate coupon in the mail!

If you're not already a member of Metro's program, you can sign up now. To register for the Moi rewards program, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the Moi rewards program website.
  2. Click on “Enroll Now” and “Register” to begin the registration process. You'll receive a code to confirm your e-mail address.

You can also access your account online or via mobile applications to check your points balance, view current offers and redeem your points for rewards. How do I earn points?

Metro's rewards program is designed to allow customers to earn points for their purchases at participating stores. To start earning points, you need to register for the program by creating an account online or by using the physical card available in-store. If you sign up now, you'll be rewarded with 250 points.

Once you're registered, you'll generally earn 1 reward point for every dollar you spend, in a variety of ways, including:

  • Shopping: You can earn points by shopping at participating stores. These include Metro, Jean Coutu, Super C, Brunet and Première Moisson. The number of points you can accumulate depends on the products you buy and the total amount of your purchase. Each dollar spent equals one Moi point.
  • Participate in promotions: Participating brands may post offers that allow you to earn additional points. Check regularly for current offers and promotions to maximize your points.
  • Use the Moi RBC Visa credit card: As soon as it becomes available, you can collect points more quickly by using the credit card associated with the program. In fact, you'll be able to earn points every time you use your card to make purchases in or outside participating stores.
Moi registration process

You should also be aware that there are some exclusions. Tobacco products, lottery tickets, public transit fares and cards, prescription drugs and health care services, gift cards and other prepaid cards, stamps and postal services do not let you earn points. The same applies to dry-cleaning, movie and video game rentals, any deposit and eco-participation fees, SAQ products or alcoholic beverages outside Quebec, order fulfillment and delivery fees, donations, utensils for ready-to-eat products and certain products offered on other platforms by partners.

How do I redeem Moi points?

Once you've accumulated enough points, you can redeem them for rewards such as product discounts, special offers and gifts. To redeem your points, you can log in to your account online or present your card in-store.

Once you've accumulated a minimum of 500 points, you can redeem them at any participating store to reduce your bill. Partial redemption is permitted as long as you have the minimum 500 points. Points never expire and can be redeemed at any time.

Additional benefits of the Moi rewards program

In addition to earning points that can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, members can enjoy a number of other benefits!

  • Exclusive offers: Members can benefit from exclusive offers, promotions and coupons not available to non-member customers. These offers can help you save money on your purchases and take advantage of special deals on your favorite products.
  • Personalized experience: The program enables each member to benefit from a personalized experience based on their shopping habits. By examining each member's previous purchases and preferences, the program offers rewards that are specific to each customer.
  • Easy to use: Simply register online or in-store to start collecting reward points. You can access your account online or via store mobile apps to check your points balance, view current offers and redeem your points for rewards.
