Frequently asked questions about flight ticket
Do I need a passport to fly within Canada?
No, you do not need to bring your passport when you are on a domestic flight in Canada. However, you will need to present valid Canadian identification when boarding. The name on it must match the name on your plane ticket and boarding pass.
You will need to show either one piece of photo ID with your full name and date of birth, or two pieces of ID with your name, including one with your full name and date of birth. In both cases, the identification must have been issued by the federal, provincial, or territorial government. They must be valid and not expired. Several documents are accepted, including a passport, health card or permanent resident card. A complete list of accepted parts can be found on the Government of Canada website.
If you do not have a Canadian ID, you will need to use the travel document presented when entering Canada. It could be your passport, a NEXUS card, or a US permanent resident card. A complete list is also available on the government website.
